TRC Experts provides refrigerator installation and replacement service for common residential fridges, including units that require levelling, door-clearance checks and a water-line connection for an ice maker or dispenser.
A refrigerator needs correct placement, ventilation clearance and stable levelling to operate properly. Models with water and ice features also require a suitable water connection. We check the available space, appliance fit, floor condition, door swing and existing connection before completing setup.
We position the refrigerator, adjust levelling points where applicable and check that doors operate correctly.
For compatible units, we connect to an existing suitable refrigerator water supply and check for visible leaks.
We review surrounding clearances so the doors, drawers and ventilation areas are not obstructed.
Replacement is straightforward when the new refrigerator fits the same space and the existing water and electrical connections are in usable condition. New installations may require additional preparation if the kitchen does not already have a refrigerator water supply or adequate clearance for the selected model.
Measure more than the cabinet opening. The refrigerator must also fit through entrances, hallways and elevators, and the doors need enough clearance to open fully. Depth can be especially important with French-door and counter-depth models because handles and door thickness extend beyond the cabinet.
If the refrigerator has an ice maker or dispenser, the existing shut-off valve and water line should be accessible and in good condition. A leaking, damaged or unsuitable line may need to be replaced before connection. After connection, we check for visible leaks and confirm that the refrigerator is ready for normal ice-production startup.
A newly connected refrigerator needs time to reach stable operating temperature. Ice production also does not begin instantly. Follow the manufacturer guidance for loading food and discarding initial ice or water if applicable.
If the existing unit is not being replaced and has a cooling or ice problem, see our fridge repair and ice maker repair pages.
Yes, when a suitable existing refrigerator water supply and shut-off valve are available and in usable condition.
Some models allow door reversal and some do not. The model design and required hardware determine whether this can be done.
Cooling time varies by model. Follow the manufacturer instructions and wait until the refrigerator reaches a safe, stable temperature before loading temperature-sensitive food.
Built-in units can require specialized handling, cabinetry clearances and connection planning. Send the model and installation photos so we can confirm the service requirements.
Tell us the refrigerator model, whether a water connection is needed and whether this is a replacement or a new installation.
